About This Tool

This interactive tool validates your ICP-MS calibration curve by calculating regression parameters and checking ICV recovery against EPA criteria.

Calibration Theory

Linear regression minimizes the sum of squared residuals using Least Squares to determine the slope (m) and intercept (b).

ICV Validation

The Initial Calibration Verification must be independent of calibration standards. Pass criteria: 90-110% recovery.

Residual Analysis

Residuals show each point's deviation from the calculated line. Green zones indicate ideal linearity (<10%).
